Dang, RG! You sure read a lot into what I wrote! If you go back to the original poster's rant, he was talking about one-on-one instruction and that was what I was responding to.

First, I certainly understand that workshops and seminars often need to be of broader scope in their curricula. BTW, there was a time in my life when I was the Manager of Training and Development for a Fortune 200 company so I know a bit about developing and implementing training programs. (Yes, my work history has been all over the map.)

Next, I didn't touch on models or MUAs or any of that stuff.

FInally, I still maintain that, if someone hired me for some one-on-one, I'd probably want to work with them using the tools or similar tools that the person will go home and use. I might demonstrate what could be accomplished with additional and higher-end gear but, again, if you go back to what the original poster said, he wants to learn how to maximize what he already has in terms of equipment.

All that aside, your words are well-taken and I don't disagree with most anything you said when said in the context of a workshop or seminar.

Que tengas un buen dia de pavo.

Actually we do celebrate Thanksgiving, just a little earlier so their are less people trying to travel, and the weather is nicer

When I was a kid one of the pieces of advice my grandfather gave me was "Never invest anything you can't afford to lose." I sort of apply this in a modified version to sharing shoot ideas. If I share a shoot idea with anyone other than my wife chances are it's one I don't care about, have already shot, or something that was already shot by someone else that I planned on heisting. If it's an "original" idea or an amalgamation of several stolen ideas, I'll keep it close to my vest.
