i didn't shoot the lighting setup but i think i can explain it.
mainlight was a 5' octodome. i placed it right in front of her, just a little bit to camera-left, with the center of it about face-high on the model. this allowed me to shoot under it or somewhat in front of it.
to camera-right, at about 45 degrees behind her, i put my chimera medium strip. it was up high and tilted down. i also put a screen in front of the bottom half of the strip box. that's cuz her black hair was eating up the light so it needed some power to show highlights. but without the screen (which knocked the light down about a stop for the bottom half of the strip) it would have overly blown-out the highlights on her skin.
to camera-left, again at about 45 degrees behind the model, i place a bare-bulbed monlight with a 30 degree grid affixed to the front. it was placed kind of high and angled down as well so it would hit black hair kind of hard. this light had to be flagged to keep it from spilling on the green seamless BG.
black hair can sometimes be a problem cuz it sucks up the light and, to get good highlights on it, you risk blowing out other areas of the model where it strikes. so light control is a big issue when you're pouring more light on something really dark, like jet back hair. i could have used a gel--blue looks nice on black, which would have shown well without as much power, but i didn't want the blue bleeding on her skin with that green BG behind her.

oh yeah, i put a 3x5 gold reflector in front of her, low and angled up, just a little bit camera-right to warm her up some and provide a tiny bit of fill.
