So this may seem a bit strange to some people but I have never used/owned a manual film camera, thats right never. Being an absolute beginner to photography I have had a blast with my HP point and shoot digital camera over the past 2 years. I am constantly taking pictures of everything and anything that catches my eye. So I recently decided to try and get my hands on a beginners manual camera to really try to understand and have more control over my photos.
So today in the mail I recieved my much anticipated ebay win - a Minolta SRT102 with a Rokker 50mm and a unkown 100-200mm lens, it was like christmas. The only problem is I know absolutly nothing about it.

Does anybody have any idea where to get a manual for this? Or perhaps know of any good beginners courses/classes in around the Boston MA area?

Any help would be much appreciated!!!
Thanks!!!

Here is a link to a site with manuals. This one is not free, but there are other sites by searching for Minota camera manuals. Hope it helps and good luck with your new toys.

I have an ORIGINAL Minolta SRT-101 manual and it should work well with the
SRT-102.
If you would like a copy of it, I will gladly help you out.
If interested, contact me at: knightsga@yahoo.com.

You can get the manual for this camera off of the Minolta site. It's a pdf file of the original owner's manual. Here's the link:

Does anyone have any cleaning tips for lens and/or cameras? I saw online lens tissues and a couple other related products and I am wondering if there is a huge difference between regular tissues and these lens tissues? Thanks again for all the help, I really appreciate it.
