Jordon will be a featured model at my next workshop. Make sure to check the workshop section for the 18th Century B&B Workshop.

Hello There,

Yes she is a trully lovely Model indeed.... If she's a new model it's been a good
find... because she would fool anyone,... She looks so wonderfully relaxed.
And a very attrctive lady as well.

And these shots are beautifully taken to Dave, very classy. A credit to you.
If it were me tho, I would have tried to fix the double catch lights.

PS. I give up what does MD mean?!!!

Yes, she is lovely, Dave. And pretty nice work on your part, too.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi,

Thanks for the kind words. I like the double catch lights. It opens up the eyes and brightens them up as well. It creates a bit more warmth IMO. It's done purposefully.

MD? That stands for Maryland!!

Thanks for your acknowledgement Dave.
I'm only amateur, so please feel free to teach me.
But when I last shot Models (and it was a while ago now) I always lit by
tungsten (and that meant mutipule lights) and I was always told "watch out
for double catch lights" and when we did get them, and it was often we
had to repear the damage in the dark room. You see that was all before
the days of Photoshop,.... but it was still easy.
Blue or green eyes were a little harder ofcourse.
I was in a Camera Club and we used to compete with Inter Clubs.
I was in London at that time, and there were lots of Suburban Clubs.
And the judges were very picky.
Even placement was critical.
We were allowed 1 O'clock or 11 O'clock only.
So when I look at your Photos I still can't get used to it.
And you did it deliberately.

But let me repeat, Beautiful Model. Nicely taken.

Thanks again Dave.

Maryland....Oh! OK

Would love to see some more of your stuff..!!

What do those judges know anyway? LOL
When I was in the PPA, the catchlights had to be at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock, so everyone is different.

I find that two catchlights opens up the eye a bit and brightens it as well.

What I DON'T recommend are two differently shaped catchlights, as in a round umbrella catchlight and a square softbox catchlight.

Ultimately, you shoot what your clients like and want. That's the bottom line.

When my clients view my work, one of the first comments I get is, "Wow. The eyes look great!" So I just leave it at that.

Thanks for your input.
