as with all that do this - i showed his true colors - his anger - his standards of yelling - name calling - whining - finger pointing etc. etc

unfortunatly this self showing or drawing it out, had to be done publicly to make the point i was after; which unfortunatly takes away from the original thread - i agree.

god has no place in the industry nor does hypocracy which i find generally with all those that try to bring a god or a god mythology/theology into the industry or any where else for that matter. Nor do militant views.

hopefully - all will understand the need show DM's true statndards which jsut happen to be his standards as a person rathr than what one would look for in a model. perhaps he treats his models that way perhaps not... i'm not a profiler.

It's not who is right or wrong that truly matters - it's what is right that matters

I don't need someones god or government to attempt to control me; or someone using a sheild of god to make blanket judgement callson me or others nor tell me how to run my life or others lives when they themselves (the ones pointing the fingers) can't control or run their own lives worth a damn and are more full of more hypocracy than i care to display or mention.

i'm a good person - a very smart person -and i've done it all with out the need of the latter. just as i don't need a ring to tell me i married (if i were) i don't need a nothing to tell me how to be a good person or make judgment calls. Nor do i need word games.... right dynamike? well - i say i don't so i don't

anyhow - back to the thread topic. word game over - i put down my battlements so long as no attempt to draw me into the bullsh*t word crap fingerpointing happens again.

have a great day
back on topic

You're an idiot man, really. You're making statements that have absolutely no relevance to anything we've discussed before. Just drop it, really.

Staying with the original question of standards....

I believe we have to have standards. If you look at Mike's E-zine, he has to have standards. His readers have come to expect a certain level of professionalism and a certain look. His customers want to see extravagant and amazing bikes with women on them that scream beauty, sexy, and sultry. The same goes with Playboy, FHM, Maxim, etc. The buyers of those magazines will not buy a mag if on the cover, is a woman that is not of high standards. A model that gets paid $15 per hour would not be likely to grace the cover of FHM or Maxim. Yes, they may have beauty and be attractive enough to be there, but at the rate of $15, they are not there yet and working with a photog that will get them directed to those mags via the proper channels.

I have shot less than desireable women for portrait settings, etc. And, when I am looking through the viewfinder, there is nothing internally screaming this is going to be a hell of a shot and going on my website. On the other hand, I have shot women before that every image I shot was screaming 'upload me now' within my pea sized head.

If I am doing work on the basis to build my portfolio--she has to be stunning. If a model or client is paying me--she can look any way she like and if I have to resort to CS2 to correct imperfect skin, etc., then I will do that as she is paying me to do that. Mike reserves the right to set his standards at any level or bar that he chooses--as do all photographers and artists in this world. If another photog's levels of expectations and standards are not the same as DynaMike's--then that is fine--but no one has the right to call him out in a public forum and bait him--or anyone else--into an argument.

I say--to each their own and appreciate their work for what it is....

lol - no prob on this side cifcap - i rarely web thread stalk...
But i'm curious Dynamike, did you get enough pholio views off your method of madness?
i prefer a differnet method - usually opting for quality rather than quanity clicks in a sense, but i was curious - since i'm not a click junkie.

Come on Chase....

I am not trying to kiss up to Mike here in any way, but you gotta relax dude....Mike was 'called out' by others and is in defense of himself and his standards. That is something no one should have to do when it comes to their work. I already viewed his profile a long time prior to this spin being thrust into the forum here. If I were Mike and reading this, I would take it as a personal insult again with words like:

"...I prefer a different method-usually opting for quality rather than quantity clicks....'

I will quote someone else: Andre Agassi from years ago:

"...good talk, bad talk--at least they're talking...."

What it meant was that his performance on the tennis courts was exceptional. And those that were criticizing him were attacking him personally and not his tennis game because he was damn good on the courts. It applies to Mike as well. His work caters to a select audience in his E-zine. It is also good enough to sell. And, keeping his models above par and selecting those models willing to work over $15 per hour ensures revenue for him.

I don't know Mike as an individual. I don't know Jimmy D as an individual. But, I do know that the two of them create amazing images that I am inspired by each time they post. I also know that they have both been attacked within this forum in the last week. They have been attacked for offering their opinion--and only gave their opinions when asked--they did not force feed their opinions.

It is only my opinion--but no one has the right here to attack anyone personally in this forum or within the threads. If you want to debate--take it offline. And, if you want to critique--then critique the work in a professional and tasteful manner without insult or personal attacks. I have seen enough personal attacks with the elections on television--let's keep it out of this forum.
