Hi everyone,

thursday I will be shooting a short haired model - and I need some advice.
How do you control spill light in the face from the striplight/hairlight ?
(Shooting will include portraits, half and full length shots)

My setup will be Jimmyd like: I'll be using 2 strip lights for rimlight, and a beauty dish for a main, plus some reflectors. At least one of the striplights will have to double as a hairlight...

Flagging would be a possibility, but then the model has to stay in place (?).

Will I be needing an assistant ?

CU
Peter

You can always use grids for you edge lights. Grids give you more control to place the light where you want it.

Grids on each side here - sorry could quickly find anyone with short hair.

The only softbox was the fill light, everthing else was fitted with a grid. Even the face light.
