I love the lighting, the balance of the flash with the sunset, and the choice of her suit. But I do confess that the blatantly wide-open legs and crotch of the suit seem to me a tad indelicate. I'm old-fashioned (heck, I'm old) but I think I would have had her present herself with her hips angled somewhat more away from the lens, rather than directly at it.

But that's just my opinion. Wonderful lighting. Thanks for sharing.

I think what throws you off, Mr. Ford, is the "hot spot" or reflection from the flash is directly in the crotch. If that reflection wasn't there, it wouldn't be as much of an attraction (or distraction). If a little photoshop work were done to that particular part of the suit, maybe us old guys would notice her face first. Of course, that may be exactly what the photographer was going for...and if so, he succeeded.

The hot spot may be part of it, but it's also that the model is allowing her thighs to rest on her lower legs, or the ground - which has the effect of flattening her thighs, making them look larger than they really are. Coupled with a bit a foreshortening, her lower torso looks a bit disproportionate to me.

I don't entirely subscribe to the hot spot theory because there's also one on her left breast, which doesn't bother me at all.

Actually you guys busted me pretty good here! I paid more attention to the sunset than I did the model.......sin....sin...sin!
I took Jimmy's advice and moved the flashes (2) off the camera. 45 degrees either side of her tripped from the on board flash with that little blocking device Nikon gives with the SU-4 to trigger the remotes. I was so happy I got the remotes to work I kinda let some things slip by I would have normally addressed.
You guys keep on keepin on so that I will stay on my toes.

Naw, you fixed it. I'm betting you're just seeing the version previously downloaded into your Windows buffer. To me, I see the changes - the loss of the glare on the suit's bottom and left breast. Not meaning to harangue you, but I still find the pose less than flattering, although she's quite lovely and I like a couple you added where she's standing.

And that sky is incredible. Nice job there, no question.

I see it now, it was driving me nuts. Destiny has zero experiance. She does want to model and she tries hard. I think her next shoot will be much better. I got wrapped around the axel when trhe sun started going down, that sunset was awewsome.

Sunset, flash, skin tone, and swimsuit all work together. Great lighting and model, but the pose is a little too daring.
