Considering the purchase cost, if you just have to take this baby for a test drive and you can find a rental house with one in its inventory, it should rent for about $350-400 a day. That's not too bad, right? Some rental houses let you pick gear up late on Friday and return early Monday for a one day rental rate.

It's a scanning back, and takes a second to scan at full resolution, but they advertise 1/20000 second. I understand how that works (every pixel is exposed for the equivalent of 1/20000 second), but it still seems a bit deceptive, especially when they show a sailboard shot on the website.

Or have I simply not read enough scanning back ads?

Um, maybe I'm drunk or something but isn't an ISO of 500 a bit poor in digital as it is? Why would they only make it 500 - 10000? For that kind of money I would expect to have at least and ISO of 100! What's the point of doing super high res if it's going to be grainy?
