When I print this photo, his face is a little too red? How does it look to you?

The little guy has a little red tone in his face. I would remove the red just a bit and then print it.

There's a book I'm probably going to buy. It's called "Photoshop Restoration & Retouching," by Katrin Eismann. If you go to her site for the book

http://www.digitalretouch.org/

there's a sample chapter for the 2nd Edition that deals, quite comprehensively, with color correction.

Nope, looks fine to me. A pink baby is a healthy baby.
My wife works in a NICU so take it from me that blue is
the color to avoid.

Jimmy,

Katrin's books are the bomb - don't think, just get it, you won't be disappointed.

There is another book I have called Color Correction for Digital Photographers using Photoshop CS2 - I think that's what it's called, I'm to lazy to get out of bed and go look at it. But it's a tome just on color correction and it rocks as well.

There's a problem that you might not be aware of, here, judging from your question. Just because it looks OK on the screen of a computer does NOT mean that your printer is going to print it out with the same color tint. Printer profiles should match your paper and are pretty hard to guesstimate, so check out the instructions in your printer to see if you need to do some work there, first.

As somebody who has done hundreds of color corrections a day for a living, this subject is something that is near and dear to my heart. There are a couple of things to take into consideration here. One, something I've done here at home, which is turn OFF my printers color management, which then makes the printer use the images color space. That should help quite a bit right there. Second, something I got into the habit of doing at work, which is color correct in CYMK color instead of RGB color. Reason being, is your home printer like the multi-millon dollar printing presses I work on a daily basis now, use 4 colors, Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, and blacK. Your screen will show what you'll be printing in. Well, I hope this helps. BTW, the color looks good on my end.

Isaiah
