This past weekend a much loved model who is featured on our pay web site was the only tragic fatality of a drive-by shooting. The intended target got away with nothing but a scratch.

The question is, do we have a moral obligation to remove her photos from our site or does it do her more honour to leave the photos there?

What are your thoughts?

My opinion is to leave the images there. For me, the removal would be saying that she never existed. Just my opinion. BTW - I asked the saem question of myself when a model I had worked with took her own life.

I would leave them and go one step more and do a memorial to her.

I think you should leave them up, and since it's on a pay website, see if you can get the administrators of the site to donate any money that she made that's owed or something like that to a memorial fund or something to that effect. If not, I think a memorial site is a good idea.

I would say to leave them up unless her family asks you to take them down...

Thats right. She lives on through her work and erasing the unfortunate past is a denial of our reality. This is truly unfortunate. I hope her family is doing OK.

Assuming the unfortunate woman had been hired and paid for the shots you've posted, you have no "moral obligation" for either action. The decision is strictly a personal one.

If, however, you feel uncomfortable and upset with the utterly senseless slaughter, perhaps donate a fraction of the site's proceeds to an appropriate cause directed against such insanity?
