Havent ever shot products before. Decided to try something new this week and I think it worked out fairly decent. Comments/suggestions? Should there be a shadow when shooting items?

As a rule in product photography the trend is to go without shadow, but there are exception to the rule. I think your photo examplifies that exception, little shadow on the cleavage works rather effectively. When photographing glass products bad reflection is often a problem, it was for me when I was doing large industrial lamps for a catalog. In your image you don't have that problem. I like this image a lot, congratulation on job well done.

Thanks shooter, aprecate your comments. Your right about the reflections, have a bunch of shots that you couldnt see the label from the spots. Other problem was picking up the bottle everytime the model breathed
