I was shooting with 2 cameras - one with the 70-200 and another with a 400mm f 5.6
I chose the 70-200 for this shot, knowing that the 400 would be a little closer and wanting to include the foreground as more of an artisitc shot. This was the first time I had shot from the press site.
Most of the Full time Press shooters are shooting 600mm and larger lenses .. being 3.5 miles from the shuttle lauch pad at the press site. Additonal Press and NASA shots are taken from startionary cameras placed the day before around the pad and fired by sound actuating equipment and timers. Everynow and then a gator gets up on one of those.
Hope this helps .... dK
