Well not really... but close.
Last year at the Supershoot Las Vegas Workshop, I had the chance to shoot three vintage pinup friends of mine Sabina, Melinda, and Heidi, while they were all in LV for the Rockabilly Rod Reunion. They wanted an image for their new line of cards found at http://www.pinupplayingcards.com I concived the idea and with the help of assistants Jeff White and Chelsie Hamann, I got the shot, played with it a little in photoshop, saved it as hi res .tiff, named it "Cheaters"....done.

Fast forward 8 months later:

Seems that that image has become quite an icon within the pinup circle.

It is the #1 sold print on http://www.theooh.com

It is the most downloaded image on retro dj Java's Bachelor Pad website.

It is the most requested image on my ModelMayhem and MySpace page..."Where can I buy that print?"

Just sold the rights for cover art to a punk band from NYC called "The Turbo A.C.'s" for their new CD. (note the tattoo change on Heidi's arm)
<img src ="http://64.71.49.142/TAC_LTW_preview.jpg"></a><br>

If you find yourself in Ibiza, Spain this summer, you will see the image everywhere, even on a billboard promoting dj residencey at Club Pasha. (arguably the grandest and most elaborate nightclub in the world)
<a href="http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.asp?ID=7967"><img src="http://www.residentadvisor.net/images/banner/0606_peepshow.gif"></a>

Even caught the eye of gallery curators in Detroit and they just invited me to display 5 of my fetish prints (and this one of course) in their upcoming world famous exhibit "The Dirty Show"
<a href ="http://www.dirtydetroit.com"><img src = "http://www.dirtydetroit.com/img/SummerDirty.jpg"></a><br>

I am sending my artwork up to Detroit and I will not be able to attend because the Dirty Show opens the same weekend as The Fetish and Fineart Workshop and Buckle Fetish Ball in Atlanta.

Life is good.

Hey TD--congrats! As I told you at HTL two years ago and at Cynthia's in Atlanta, your stuff rocks. Great to see good things happening to you--see what passion does to you?

What most photographers don't realize, it's a mix of things that make great photographers, more specifically, comprehension, creativity and communication.

1. Comprehension--understanding your equipment, knowing it, breathing it, living with it like a soldier with his M-16.

2. Creativity (Creative Eye)--some claim it can be taught, others claim it can't, but anyone can always create, so never stop trying. Some are lucky to be born with it, and you my friend are born with it.

3. Communication--knowing what to say, when to say, how to say, and where to say it. This includes building rapport with your subject as well as communicating to others via workshops, books, etc., and more important, communicating through your images.

Well my friend, you posses all three and do them well, combine that mix with dK, Chelsie and Jeff---well you should be taking the world by storm with your photography--and you will.

I've always said, I'm a fan of your work, great work and beyond that, you come up with some of the most "original" ideas, nothing cliche--the latter is what separates you from the milk. (now he's going to shoot something with milk, (grin))

Thanks for sharing, I wish you luck. I know your workshop will rock, and if I was in town I'd drop by, but I think I'm in Portland that weekend. Regardless, you along with dk should blow people's minds with what you both can do with as a team--and of course with Chelsie and Jeff helping, how can you go wrong?

Oh, I'm on the road right now in Sarasota visiting my old friend, Playboy model Tricia Wilds, so I'm on/off line, but saw this image and had to post--great work, wishing you all the best, rg sends!

Tim,

Maybe you can show "The Colonel's Away at the Eastern Front" in that Detroit show as well, just to antagonize the P.C. crowd. Hell, it worked before...

Congrants, my man!
