I hear ya JD,..not to make excuses, but I thought for the time of day(11am), that the sunlight (coming up over the tall Joshua trees behind the fence), would bounce off of my goldish colored house, which is about 20' opposite Raquel,(about 6' behind me,..I'm across the pool from her), and it probably did, but the blue pool water, (which I didn't think of), cast the bluish/whitish light on her, (now that I think about it, I should have saw that at the time
) So much for that idea.
So, next time (that was my first shoot at the pool), I'll do something different.
I have a cpl small homemade reflectors, but have been looking at buying one of the Over Priced 5 in 1 pro jobs.
I have been thinking of trying a shoot like that in the evening when the sun is on the other side of the house,....there is a nice reflection of the sky and trees in the water on that side, and if the model was hanging over the edge, at just the right time, her reflection would be there too, but I'm thinking the cast might still be a problem?
Thanks, I do appreciate your input.
Note to self: Learn to use reflectors
