Very nice job. The only thing I'd mention, is , that if you're going to do that much work, you might as well do a little work on the red in eyes and smooth out the lipstick a bit.
Cheers,

Good suggestions. I do about 50 images like this a day, so sometimes I get lazy. It only takes 4-6 minutes to get from before to after.

Just the digital guy? Man, you ARE the business. Nothing pisses me off more than a photographer who can't be bothered to learn his craft. Recently saw a wedding album ruined by a photographer who decided to do his own photoshop work and didn't have a CLUE how. My snapshots from the reception were better!!

Now if I was him and he was me and he walked into my office and said "Look at this picture, you're an idiot, how dare you charge money for this, let me teach you how to use photoshop" I would say "Oh Thank God, the computer's over there, how much do you charge" but egos being what they are this guy will never take a single lesson and continue ruining people's weddings for years to come, and it's a small town so even those who know the difference can't do anything about it unless they want to pay a big city photographer to drive over an hour!!

Only the digital guy? ONLY? More accurate to say that the guy who captured the before image was "only" the photographer.

Impressive transformation, and even more impressive that you can do it so quickly.

Then again, you are one of the reasons that a digital image isn't admissible evidence any more...

Joshua, very admirable work which must translate to admirable talent. I too can hardly wait for any tip(s) you can send our way. I have a question for you, what to do with freckles? When models' skin is texturised smoothing it is no problem. Last weekend I worked with a model who has freckles on her face and very much all over the body, when I attempted to smooth out some wringles and skin folds I realised that I was also destroying those freckles and this is not what I wanted to do so I compromised and let things be as nature intended. Her freckles are quite attractive on her, at least to me, others may not see it the same way. So the big question is, would you leave the freckles in an image or do you have a way to preserve or may be even enhance them? I have some limited working knowledge of PS so if you really get technical you may leave in a dust. Thanks.

Isobel of Virginia and her precious freckles.

What I like is that the obvious problams have been removed without removing the texture. The finished image looks real. Very well done.
