<p>Judging by the length of his post, I'm assuming Rick's run into this more than once and I can imagine it being very annoying. I give models some of the clothes/props I ask them to wear for a shoot as well as promotional items, but for me it's business (I've worked in the corporate world for 20+ years and have dealt with plenty of vendors). So, it's down to the intentions of the photographer - be professional, and if you need a model you're more likely to get them to work with you again. Plus, "models talk," as they say so your reputation will preceed you for better or worse. While we're on the subject of "daddys" and what they're really after...</p><p>
If you want a model to really think you're a perv, get them out of their cloths as quickly as possible (cut to the chase as it were) and get straight to the nude shots. "Who needs all that fabric in the way anyway???" Yup, and don't think the "but I'm just interested in art" gag's gonna work for very long. Yes, nudes have their place, but so does cumin in chili (and you definitely don't want to use too much of that - sorry about that analogy, but I'm a Texas boy, so there ya go).</p><p>
I guess I'm stoking the fire with this one, but that's my pet peeve at workshops (along with the ole "photog cluster shoots" with the one shooter who takes a dozen or so shots while the other photogs wait...and wait....and wait. Oh, and the "over-the-shoulder-shooter" - almost forgot that one, sorry).</p><p>
