Hey guys,

You digital people are gonna like this one. I was developing a roll of film today, and as usual I set up everything beforehand before I begin, including getting the film washer ready. I have the bathroom in our basement rigged to where the stand-in shower is used for the print and/or film washers to drain into. Normally, I set the washer up and forget about it 'til I get to that part of the processing. Well, this time, about halfway through processing, I notice that the floor of the walk-in shower has about three or four inches of standing water -- it wasn't draining. Then, water starts to seep out of the drain in the middle of the basement floor itself. It started slowly at first, and all I had left to do was wash the film for five minutes and use the wetting agent for one minute, so just six minutes left, and then I would take care of the apparent clog, as once you start film processing, you can't stop... Well, then all of a sudden, a burst of dark water gushes out of the drain in the floor, and soon after the entire room was flooded. Our basement has three rooms total, the darkroom being on one end, and the water reached so far as the farthest room.

But dadgumit, even though the entire basement was flooding, I still got that roll developed. You just don't have this much fun shooting digital, lol!

Anyways, just wanted to share.

Sam

LOL, thanks Art! Heh, I'm STILL cleaning up that mess. I've got one more roll to go from this shoot... but... I think I've had plenty of fun for one night, so I think I'll save that one for tomorrow.

Have a good one,

Sam
