I have been using ViewSonic monitors for color correction at the studio for 2 years now. We have had an old CTX monitor (CTX VL 950) laying around for a few years and I decided to hook it up. It blows my other 2 ViewSonics away with how brilliant the color is, plus the RGB guns have a much wider range. I'm curious to what others are using and why you like your monitor brand/model. I need to buy a new monitor and I like this CTX unless someone has a good reason to not use a CTX. (short monitor life, faulty parts, etc...)

As long as you can calibrate it correctly, there's no reason a CTX shouldn't work. I'm using View Sonics LCDs now, but have used CTX CRTs in the past and they're as good as any of the other Taiwan imported monitors in their price class.
