- I like # 2 the best. The neg space to show the stair in the background is a great effect and really pulls the viewer in. The other shots don't have much of a background or texture, so I also think it makes it stand out. I think the model in red's tummy could look a little better.
- I'm not entirely sure what you were going for here but I'm asusming implied sensuality between the two models or something suggestive thereof. Too many photogs try to take similiar situations and they come out looking contrived because the model(s) is/are uncomfortable with taking such a shot, or the photographer isn't directing them out of his/her own nervousness. There's a way to pull this shot off whithout it looking fake, and that's not from stepping over the porno line, it's about facial emotion. The red model has it, the other one does not...she looks bored and/or uncomfortable and unsure, like she's wondering about your motivations for this shot which causes the rest of us to do the same.
- All shots have the hands cut off which would have been the connection point of the implied closeness of these two people. Our eyes wander and the hands get cut off where we expected them to be connected.
Think before you shoot any kind of interaction between two people....mood is everything and if it looks contrived, it doesn't evoke passion or the wonderment of the viewer. With these shots, if it looks incredibly set-up, it causes the viewer to wonder about the mindset/prupose of the photographer rather than getting lost in the shot itself.
My $.02...thanks for sharing your work.
thanks for your comments, my direction to the models was to give me a neutral look, not smiling nor frowning,

Here's an outtake:

.
.
as for my mindset, I really wanted to portray 2 beautiful young women in a desolate 3rd world type of setting. Beauty triumphing over the dinge and decay of urban blight.

Gotcha...if that was the case, more background should have been shown and the composition different altogether. One cannot derive any urban blight or contrast in these pics.
Using a wider angle lens to show their surroundings and shooting low to the ground might have been a better way to go.
best,
Jim

I like the out take better then the original images. It looks more natural. This shot achomplished your goal for the shots much better.

personally, i think what you captured were images that indicate and imminent lesbian tryst is at hand.

not that that's such a bad thing.

I most like the pose in the second shot - the hint that the lass in blue is about to undress the lady in pink, and there is definitely nothing wrong with that...
