I'd noticed that a few weeks ago and wondered how that aspect of the contest would be handled. Made me wonder if an entry window (something like the final week of any give month prior to the following month's contest) could be set up. That way any model would have the chance to upload her image during that 10 day period, and all would have an equal footing for the month of voting.
For those missing uploading a shot during that week-long entry window, well, there's always next months contest.
Of course that doesn't end run the problem of low-voting a model (which I thought I saw some of during this past competition). Doesn't take a mathematical genius to figure out when an entrant's image gets ratings in the 10 to 7 range and suddenly pulls a stray 2 or 3 that something's not kosher. While I recognize opinions can widely vary, at the same time things like that are a red flag to me of more an agenda to move someone up at the expense of another. But then again, those instances are pretty obvious and thankfully rare (particularly since the ownership of the low vote is right there with the casting). So they can be dealt with on an individual basis.
My thoughts on it anyway.
