i posted a nude of this model in the "nude/fine art forum." here's jessi again, this time modeling a wife-beater and a casual top for "bad girl rags." MUA Terese Heddon, canon 5D w/28-135 IS USM, ISO 100, f/5.6 @ 125

she fills these tops out quite nicely.

As always Jimmy, stunning image and models.

Question...... I can understand the background being green so it can be changed later for the final image. Doesn't the green splash on the body make it hard to "cut" the model out of the background? Rekkon there is some easy reason why, just don't know.

green is often used as a color to "key" on as you are pointing out. and if this were the case, you'd be absolutely correct and i wouldn't have used the green gel.

but for these images, the green will remain green, i.e., as part of the background for use in the final graphic design. the design, btw, kind of rips off the movie "the matrix." the graphic designer won't be cutting her out from the BG, rather, he'll be adding machine-code symbols and other graphics and text.

Nice work Jimmy. I'm starting to like the green gel effect on her hair on these. It also provides some nice subtle background separation on the darker upper-left side. Very nice work.

Beautiful Pics...but if you don't mind me asking, who is she? I think I recognize her as an internet porn star... No insult intended...

Hey Jimmy,

Great shots as always!! Thanks for the tip about the silk scrim...I didnt get a chance to thank you for that....now I just need to find one...lol. Any suggestions on who makes them with the frames? does CA sunbounce make em? Also...just curious..how did you get the jell to stay off of the main parts of her..I have tried using some gels with mixed results. Im prolly just inept at it at this point. Any thoughts would be great!

Thanks,
Michael

for one, you can find silk scrims on ebay. you might search "silk flag" and, yeah, i think ca sunbounce makes a transluscent scrim as do other companies.

watching where the lights are going, as in the gel'd lights, is simply seeing the light cast by the modeling lights or, if you don't have modeling lights, take a few pics and adjust until yu get them where you want them. the gel'd lights, btw, are working from behind the model and angled so they're providing an "edge" rather than any kind of fill light.
