I was in Las Vegas this weekend and had 4 models confirmed before I left. Ended up with one shoot. Missed one because I went the wrong way on the highway and the sun was down before I could get back to the model. I'm sure she thinks I'm an idiot and I don't blame her.

Had one shoot Saturday morning that went fine. Had another model cancel mid afternoon. So I call the other model for that shoot and she doesn't answer. I wanted to change where we were going to meet since she was now the only model. But I went to the meeting site, a casino off the strip. We were going to drive to the dry lake bed to shoot.

Get there and she isn't visible in the parking lot. So I drive around a little, but don't see her. Call her cell again. No answer. Decided to look in another parking lot. There's a line of traffic at the exit. I need to turn left. A truck stops and lets me in. I pull out and get side swiped by an SUV.

So here's a couple of picture from that shoot.

Never did here from the model.

And yes these were taken with my camera phone. Didn't even think to pull out my S3.

No one was hurt.

Should have been sent to original poster
( it's sent to the one that is highlighted in the upper scroll box OR the last one posted )
easiest way is to just read the post you are replying to and instead of hitting post reply , use the " quote " button and just delete the quote or just leave it there
I have been sending replies to the wrong people all day then going and deleting them

Bobby, you're reflector was right behind that door. Saved my life, but it probably won't work right ever again.

Ron,

Sorry to hear of your bad luck (in several flavors). At least you're in good shape!

I had the same sort of (model no-show) experience while visiting Vegas for a week in March. I had 6 photo sessions scheduled before I left, with the first two as no-shows & the third a cancellation. I scrambled and was able to schedule replacement models with miserable "net results". In the end, I scheduled 11 (confirmed!) photo sessions, with only three actual shoots happening.

The sad part was that most were supposed to be paid sessions, while the TFCD sessions were requests by the models to work with me (THEIR request!).

the good news was that two of the three models I was able to work with were simply AWESOME models. I'd gladly recommend them to anyone looking for a Las Vegas model.

On another topic, I have one final observation... the "ouched" images are still represented by the dreaded red "X" box.
