Jessica stopped by my place after shooting with another photographer. Available light, D-100 17-55 2.8 about 17mm, f4, 1/200
She will be at JT's HTL on June 9th-12th, an energetic model who puts 110% into every shoot.

Stu, explain, if you will, what is the purpose of using such extreme wide angle lense? It clearly distorts body parts size. Is this your way to do the edgy effect? Just asking

I use it to create visual tension, strengthen the composition and really emphasize the perspective lines to serious diagonals. I love diagonals.

Other than it distorting bodies, I like the wide angle at times. I use a Tamron 17-24 4.5-5.6 from time to time.

I'm liking the look, Stu. Draws you into the image nicely and my eyes went to Jessica's eyes and then took in the rest of the composition from there. I had the pleasure meeting with Jessica earlier this year and can echo what a delight she is to work with. Great looks, attitude and talent to be sure!

Always trying to one-up the competition.

Excellent work as usual. Very striking, and an excellent use of available light.

Very nice - lots of tension and energy.

Available light? I ask because of the variation in skin tones between her face, midrift, hands and feet.

Love everything about it, but the shoes look cheap and are distracting to me...I would have liked a pointier shoe. I know minor details-but love the shot.
