i was going thru Maxim's 100th Issue edition today and, while i don't read the rag every month, i've seen plenty of issues. is it just me? or does anyone else think Maxim showcases plenty of 1rst rate chicks via 3rd rate photography?

I do agree, I have seen shots of models and celebrities that are just terrible actually. I know that Pam Anderson stated on her website that she was very unhappy with her last cover shoot with them.

I have noticed that same thing on a few others as well. It's the same thing as going to a photographers port and seeing a model that you know and seeing the worst images of her on there. But yes Maxim has done that on and off for as long as I can remember. I have to add also that I have seen some swesome work in it as well.

I haven't had too many complaints with the work in Maxim, and have found many images to be first rate.
I do, however, sympathise with Ms. Anderson. Those images were not complimentary in any way. Whether or not they were bad photography is open to debate, but they had to represent what she actually looked like at the time they were taken.
She is no longer a young girl, and she has some health issues.

Nope, it's not just you, and it's not just Maxim. I've been seeing some of that from the magazine with the bunny on the front as well.

Yup, I said it. I didn't say I was better, I just said that I've been seeing some images that I wouldn't expect to come from Playboy lately

I agree, but does it matter? Their work may suck, but ogles of guys are buying the mags and oogles of girls want to have photos like that in there...If you want to see something really awful, watch the FHM photoshoots on cable...good god...Grade FAT UGLY girls with Grade AWFUL photography....and showing off to their daddys that they were in an orgy...great...

For some awsome work, check out RAZOR Magazine. I'm not a regular reader, but every issue I've picked up had some awesome work in it. Cool stuff.
