Hi Guys

I wonder if anyone can help with a couple of questions?

Is it still correct to post one of your images if you critique someones photo? I have been, and I think it's a great idea, but don't want to interfere with someones thread if it's not appropriate.

When posting an image, I have the settings in my profile to show the my pics tab beneath the smilies, that works great, but it only shows a small number of my images, not all of them. How do I change this to show them all?

Thanks

Pete

At the top of each page under the "Forums" pull down menu is a link to "Forum Rules!".
This link doesn't work, so don't use that one. (I would put a smiley face here if I could get my Smileys to work in Firefox!)

If you go to the "About Us" pull down menu you can view the "Site Map". Here you will find a link to "Forum Guidelines".

In the guidelines you will still find rule 10:
"10. When posting critiques, be firm, be professional, be polite--use tact. Distasteful, nasty, belittling posts will not be tolerated. The "Golden Rule" applies here, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." When critiquing, don't just provide problems, provide solutions and sound advice along with any references. Improvement comes from constructive criticism, not destructive criticism. When critiquing, or being critical of someone's work, you must post an IMAGE of your work as a courtesy to the person being critiqued.."

So I guess it still applies.

Question 2
When I press the My Pics link my pictures open in a narrow strip window which only shows 4 images. But if I maximise the window I see more, and get an option to go to page 2,3 etc.
Is that what you meant?

Hope this helps.

thanks Kevin, that sounds like the thing I'm looking for but it doesn't seem to work properly. Gives me more photo's but also duplicates and blank pages, I'll stick with it.

Don't know if your interested but I asked Rolando if he would be up to doing any of his seminars in the UK, he seems interested so I forwarded his details to the SWPP as they organise all sorts of workshops, they also seemed interested so wait and see!

Pete

I am obviously doing something wrong.
I had to post this using Opera so I could get my Smileys in.
The problem with that , is that another site I use regularly doesn't seem to work
properly with Opera.
I may even have to resort to using Internet Explorer.

Yes I would be interested. As much as anything it could be a good opportunity to meet up with other U.K. members. Maybe even a few members from the continent. I have always envied the opportunities that many of the American members have for getting together socially, and sharing shoots etc. Active membership from our part of the world seems a bit limited by comparison.
