Hello,

I'm new to the forum, and I'm having a problem with the "Preview Post" button. If I compose a message and then hit the "Preview Post" button to see what it looks like, it looks fine. But then if I hit the "Preview Post" button again, without making any changes at all, the message looks different (it compacts any consequtive newline characters). If I hit the "Preview Post" button and then the "Submit" button, the message gets posted looking all compacted.

Is anyone else having this problem? So in essence, the "Preview Post" button does not show what your message will look like, it shows you what your message would have looked like had you submitted it instead of previewing it. I'm hoping this bug is not inherent in the software and can be fixed somewhere.

Thanks a lot for any help with this!
-David (who's not going to bother previewing this post )

Hey David,

I'm having the same problem too. After a while it gets a bit annoying, so I hope they can get it fixed!

Anyone know how to edit a post once you've made it and decided you said something stupid? I looked and looked and I cannot for the life of me find an edit button or dropdown while viewing my message.

Cheers,
LSC

Glad to hear that I am not the only one. Hey, I found a fairly manageable work around, so in case you're not doing this already, here it is:

Go ahead and hit the "preview" button to review your post. If you like the way it looks, hit the "back" button in your browser and then hit the "submit" button. If you don't like the way it looks, hit the "back" button in your browser, make your changes, hit the "preview" button again and repeat the process. Works like a charm!

Good luck!

Hehe... been there, done that. There should be an "edit" button right next to the "quote" button for messages that you've posted. Both buttons are directly below the message text (to the right hand side of the window). Let me know if you still can't find it.
