Was sitting here thinking about when I first started toying with Glamour photography. This was in the early '70s. The definitive photographer at that time, to me, was Peter Gowland. I went out and bought all of his books, and drooled over his studio and equipment. What was really fascinating, was the things he built himself to get the shots he wanted. So, I did a search for his name, and came up with www.petergowland.com
. For many of you just starting out with tons of questions, this is a good site to visit. A lot of pointers on posing. some of the backdrops and posing tools he built himself, even the multitude of the rich and famous that he hung with and shot.
I had forgotten about the mirrored box that he used to shoot underwater photos with. I actually built and used one myself. It was, for me, quite a trip down memory lane. For many of you, it could be quite the thing to get your creative juices flowing.
