Dang it JT, did we shoot the same Jamie?

Great shot, she wasn't made up like that when I was shooting her.
Oh yea, I remember now. we were outside and it was like 40 degrees out. I was seeing more goosebumps.

Seriously, I love it.
I hope to be able to make it up to her one day for the shots I didn't get. A consesus of myself and others there think I had a possible condensation problem that morning as she was our first that morning. Definately learned from it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...it is all about the eyes. Jamie has beautiful eyes, that goes without saying, but the fact that you've managed to "wash out" (for lack of a better term) much of the remaining contrast just makes them that much better. And that little corner of black in the upper left, don't ask me why but I really feel lie it adds something.

actually, she probly was made up like that when you shot her.

not to take anything away from--or in any way to dis--JT, but what "she wasn't" was photoshopped like that after you shot her. (note: hone your PS skills and you too will be posting similar images.)

I am really going to defend this one Jimmy.

It was cropped in photoshop, curved in photoshop, over all slightly sharpened in photoshop, and one very small skin tag about the size of a dust speck was removed. IF that's photoshopping then so be it. I even purposely went out of the way NOT to retouch this image or use any filters, etc.

I use a technique called 1/4 to 1/2 in bnw mode to over expose in overcast natural light, shooting an aperture wide open as much as possible with my S3 and then bringing back a level adjustment. That gets reviewed as photoshopping and frankly that is starting to piss me off.

I laugh when I am told to shoot it raw and then photoshop so go figure!

If one does not like the look fine with me, it's subjective.

I have done this technique for about 3 years now with an S1 then S2 and now S3.

J T

P.S. I don't want to take anything away in context with what you said but I do want to put this image in context.

uumm, Jimmy I agree my photoshop skills my not be as great as they should, but I'm working on that.
No, she was not made up like this when I shot her and I had her when we were outside in the freezing as* cold first thing Saturday morning.
I'm thinking here your making assumptions insted of honest critiques. You might have a great style for the people you shoot, but you might work on your PR skills a bit.
This is when I shot her, outside in the cold. Yes, it's PS'd a bit and definitely not my best work. You can look at my website and tell that. www.wolfseyephotography.com
