From a recent shoot with my girlfriend Taylor. Our friend Caleb was more than happy to offer his pool table to be used in such a manner.

I'm not entirely pleased with the background of image 2, as I wish I had arranged the stuff along the wall to look less disheveled, and I understand the cheese-factor of the 6 and 9 balls in image 1. We will definitely go back and shoot again, so if anyone has ideas or examples of cool shots to do with models and pool tables, we would love to see them.

Critiques invited, as always.

James:

How was this lit? Was the warmness from the light or did you add it later?

Hey there Mr. Outlaw....

#1 is the best to me I really like it.

#2 I like the pose and mood but you are right about the background.

#3 does nothing for me....

Nice work over all...

By the way my hat is off to you Mr. Arcade dominator!!!!

Lit most off-the-cuff; by a 580EX bounced off the ceiling and wall, both of which were solid wood. The originals were very warm, but I used curves to even things out, and then the PS action I use to soften the image brought out a bit more warmth.

I like my images to be a little more extreme in processing than most, so it doesn't bother me, but I always welcome others' opinions. I'm still very new to glamour photography.

Many thanks, Ron! I've lost a couple of titles overnight, though; all I need is the time to pour into another championship round.

Thank you both for your comments!

I like the warmth of the images. I now a little surprised that you'd get a warm color out of an unmodified speedlight. Guess the wood could have given it some color.

I love the first one. Great job. I could do without the 6 and 9 balls in the shot but it works as is.
