I can't seem to find a way to post an image from my web site. When I try using "manage attachments", I get a message "Remote file uploads have been disabled." Am I missing something?

I know Rolando said it somewhere ....
here is a copy of it

Yes, there is a better way, it's coming, a pop up of your thumbnails, click on the thumb, then there it is, but for now, find your image, use BB code that is bracket [ b then close ] bracket, then after the image URL [/ b ] Close the brackes, they are expanded here so you can see, again, a better method is coming, thanks, rg.

you know , new system still needs tweeked

I ended up using the IMG code at bottom of page here.

This is all I could do.
if you type [ url ] and then the address including the filename.jpg and then [ /url ] but don't put a space after or before the bracket, and you get the link to picture. Also, I just typed the url address in the text box,...I didn't use Manage Attachments

After reading the FAQ's and checking the UBB CODES, I'll try this:
This worked, but don't put the spaces before and after the brackets

I just tried to upload some images and a message said I exceeded the one day limit. I only loaded 5 images yesterday.
Why would that count as 11, and I'm not using my total alotted space?

Definitely going to take me awhile to get use to this.
I'm not saying I don't like it, just a bit confusing here at the start.

(Hey, I did this, it can't be that tough!)

Just trying to find the main community forum was a challenge. Navigation is indeed an issue and it must not be. One thing to watch is the number of views for each post and the number and timing of new subject posts. Views are critical as that reflects the casual viewers (who were in the past the majority of people who made up the readership). The number of new posts reflects the number of casual forum participants who felt comfortable participating in the general discussion. Obviously those with a product to sell (say, just to pick a topic at random, workshops!) will labor away until they get it figured out. But even they (those who have no direct relationship to the site) will eventually find more productive outlets if the number of casual viewers remains at a noteably low level.

Oddly enough, it may be the people who are regular participants on sites not always recommended by this site's administrators who may find this new layout easier to negotiate.

Food for thought here.

Nice shot there, lovely eyes.
