When I first contacted Rolando about me going to the seminar, I mention I own a really nice Harley. I asked him if I could bring it to the seminar and I think he said that was fine. I would really love to take some image of the beautiful girls with my bike as a way to promote the bike photography part of my business. The other photographs can take photos it aswell. (but may not touch)

My question; Do you think bringing the bike and getting great shots of it with the models will be a problem. If so please tell me and I will bag the idea for now.

Of course this is all based on the weather, my bike does not get rained on.

Thanks for you thoughts,
Mike Hagan

Probably depends on the venue. If the studio can't contain the bike, it would have to be shot outside. If that is the case, is there a place that would work right outside the studio?

... it's a great idea. Hot chics love nice bikes, and everyone loves pics of hot chics with nice bikes.

Other photogs will be happy to assist you with your shots, as I'm sure they'll want to use the bike as a prop within their own shots.

It's a win-win situation in my opinion.
Not sure how big a studio, but depending on where the location is, you'll be able to set-up easier outside. Hopefully it'll be nice and cloudy out that day, as harsh lighting SUCKS.

Regards,
-Rick

If you are talking about the PA workshop, you may want to contact Michael H Dean directly (his email is mikedean@mikedeanphotography.com ) and he is on GG as well. The studio is up stairs - double doors, so you could push it up, and I think there has been some issue with shooting in the neighborhood. Contact Mike.

I did speak with Mike Dean, great guy. He did not recommend me bringing my bike. Mike though getting into the studio would be to difficult and parking it outside and not being able to keep and eye on it is OUT OF THE QUESTION!!!

Mike did offer me a second option for getting images of my BABY with some beautiful models and I will be taking him up on that offer at a later date.

Thanks ALL

Given your rather "over the top" attitude regarding the bike, there's no way I'd be bringing it. Heck, with that attitude, do you even drive it? Aren't you afraid of some pebble scratching it?

I brought a rather expensive sports car to a couple of events, offered it to whoever wanted to photograph it with whatever models. No takers...too much fear of doing the wrong thing and being liable. Why invite trouble?

I do have an "over the top" attitude toward my bike. Nothing is too good or expensive for my Precious!

Ride it? Every day possible, the cold or heat never bothers me. I only leave her home when it is raining or snowing.

As far as scratches, every winter she goes in for a touch up session with a master painter and friend of mine. When she does get scratch or chipped it does REALLY pisses me off, but it’s all fixable.
