I don't know if they work together or not but that first one blows me away. I love it! The set and lighting are excellent on both.

I didn't take a photo of this set-up... it is just 2 lights, a bed and a curtain on a pole in front of paper.

The effort went into the styling ( wig, make-up, clothing and set) very little effort into lighting.

Yes, they complement each other very nicely. I like the white lingerie on the dark-haired model and black lingerie on the blond-haired model. Hang 'em both.

I think you knew the answer before posting them, but what the heck.

Yes, the subject (glamourous woman with telephone), styling (sort of noirish '40s), coloring (a bit blueish/gray for my personal tastes), and the pin-up poses all work together.

I just wonder what type of exhibition you are using these in?

The name of the Exhibition is:

The Pin-up, inspired by the glamour masters. It is part of the Contact Photo festival.

These two are "riffs" on Bill Ward. I am not sure about the second one... I feel that the first one over powers it. From a couple of the responses, I am feeling that I have to chose another, stronger image for the second one. I have been trying to avoid using one with eye contact... It wasn't Ward's style... but it would be stronger.

The rest of the images that I have shot so far can be seen at:
http://www.grsphoto.ca/commercial/2006-pinup/index.html

These were inspired by Elvgren, and Armstrong.

For those who don't know who they were, and the work they did check out the pin up files or google.

Thanks for your response.
