This is very nice work. #2 holds my interest longer of the two.

My leaning now is that if I look at two images for us to comment, and they are from a single session, I want to see the same color balance. The brighter lights in #2 would give the 1st image more impact and lead us into #2 with the same mood.

I invite others to comment on your opinions.

I am not right...just an opinion or idea. You are so good at letting others know what you think of their work. I feel I owe you.

The more I learn Photoshop CS2, the more I realize that we, as photographers, now must have good skills to display our work for the web. White balance (color cast), cropping, and levels being basic skills. Many images need some saturation and some models need more work than others to look great.

With film, I never retouched one color image in my lifetime! (1000's of prints) I never felt I needed to be a color darkroom expert.

Again, I think you can be a great photographer, but if you do not know how to process(or pay for the services) your work properly, you images may fall flat.

I understand Bonner's comment about the color balance differences within the series - and if you intended the images to comprise a single work, I agree. As part of a larger collection, or even a large series, I think the color differences add some variety.

As single images, I prefer the second. SOme combination of the golden hue and the use of negative space makes it more interesting to me.

Thanks for sharing, Paolo.

Hi Bonner,
I never retouch my image too while I shoot on film.

I just use the "technology" to find some new way of "expression".
I think that all in this world was just shoot, so the difference can be in tonal range, a diferent black and white ecc ecc.

I agree with you that a series must be a series, but I have not a lot of time to post image, so When I post I like to use to post different image, or better, different approach to an image.

Thanks anyway for such costructive approach!

Paolo
