Well, I use an Inspiron 600m laptop that I've had for 2.5 years. I've been buying computers since 1978 and for me the advance in technology is that I can now expect a system to remain useful for at least that long.
Don's image at the top of this thread seems the perfect size to me, and I'd have to guess that there is a large base of viewers out there with a similar resolution.
And do the non-photographer viewers (models?) have the high-resolution monitors that you guys use for photoshopping?
