I spent the weekend improving my workspace in my "digital darkroom". After I got my desk cleaned up, my printer moved to a less obtrusive location, found a place to store my papers, etc. I got back to the daunting task of scanning my negatives. I have a BUNCH of stuff I haven't touched in over 2 years since I went digital.
It is interesting to see what I used to do when I was all film. I spent a LOT of my time doing b+w figure work, work I thoroughly enjoyed and derived a great deal of satisfaction from doing. In fact, my wife was looking over my shoulder as I experimented with scanning in negatives and tweaking the images. She said (dig this!) she missed my doing figure work and thinks my figure work is some of the best work I've done. She said, "I like this much better than your 'pretty girl' work."
I have hundreds of negatives to scan - many more images to tweak and print. I don't have any new models lined up, but I have these older netagives to remind myself of why I got into this in the first place.
