Just my two cents...and I must say that it is that of an untrained eye...but in this case I prefer the color version. Generally speaking, I much prefer black and white, but in this case your natural coloration makes your eyes stand out better in the color version. The B&W version sort of washes out a bit for my taste, but that may be exactly what someone else loves about it. Therein lies the beauty of art.
You have a couple of B&W pictures in your portfolio (one by JT Smith and one by Mike Caldwell, I believe) that are really quite outstanding. I'm talking about stuff that would make me do a double take if I was flipping through a magazine waiting to catch a flight. In both cases, your eyes have just enough liner to make them come right out and pull you in. I am totally an "eye guy" and this one just doesn't grab me the same way.
But like I said, I'm just an inexperienced newbie, so take it with a grain of salt.
