This can be a real monitor calibration check for you. Some of the high end tones are very subtle.

Why jes I am. This young lady looks like she could probably teach me things that would hurt me, I like the angle and the form.

ok, I don't have a high end monitor, but I can definately tell the highs and lows on yours. Although I think I see the highs better.

Getting the tones loud and clear here, so I must be doing something right!

I thought my monitor might be acting up when looking at the image. However, it looks like there is a lot of levels in Photoshop that would indicate no detail in the most white and most black portions of the image. Is that correct?

In my mind that is what high contrast is about. If I blow highlights (and in digital it can be far more damning) then what I look for is can I create an image that maintains 'the look' and and the edges of 'no detail' can I flow it into the rest of the forms to leave an image that defines what I liked about the model/pose/composition.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks Dave. Now remember you are upholding the Hickey name at Padre in February. Also remember that Bruce, dK and JT should buy you drinks. After all, you are a Hickey. Do me proud man. Wish we could double their Hickey pleasure, Cuz, but also knowing that sometimes schedules just don't allow such things. I'll do my best to uphold the family name, but you've got a large pair of sized nines to fill.
