I like the lighting, it shows your eyes really well. Your feet however are not positioned in a way that is flattering. The Jacket does not accentuate you very well also in my opinion. Kind of puffs you up and makes you look bigger. Which obviously from the lighting and pose was not your intent. Generally with this type of pose, angle combination it presents a pose of subliminal submission. You are a big manly man. Hairy chest, hairy legs, hairy face, but missing hair on top of your head, which seems to be normal for photographers, case in point look at Jt.
I am glad that you are looking outside of the box and breaking rules. Usually when people break the rules on purpose it makes people understand their craft better, sometimes writing new ones. The ones in here that dont appreciate the follow through, phhfffeeeewww. If you dont have a model, pick up a toy stuffed bear and practice, or learn with it. This proves to show that you dont always have to have a woman in front of the camera to learn. The other issue, I will bring up, is it also forces you, the usually photographer to switch sides and understand how it is to be on the other side of the lens taking orders.
Well done Don and hope you enjoyed yourself and more importantly continued to learn something.
