Greetings! I've been lurking for some time, but I haven't posted very often. I hope y'all will be so kind as to give me a critique on some images from last weekend's shoot.
I was contacted about a TFP shoot by Monica, a student at our local university (Gig'em). She wants to explore the possibility of doing some Plus Size modeling. We arranged a shoot for Saturday afternoon. She asked me not to bring my usual "assistant" (a friend who is a former Highway Patrol trooper), because she was "pretty new" and wanted me to use a friend of hers for holding reflectors and such. I agreed.
When they arrived, I learned that this was actually Monica's very first shoot ... ever. So, we spent the first half hour with me giving some instruction on basic posing. Trust me, this would have been highly-entertaining for a neutral observer. You've seen Don's "Lunge" image. Imagine thirty minutes of an overweight, bald man doing something similar. Personally, I'm just glad that I had the only camera in sight.
Anyway, please give me your thoughts on the images and perhaps on how I could better have guided this new model. She is a very pretty girl, and I'm not confident that I did a very good capturing that fact. Thanks.
