Had an opportunity to shoot yesterday with Kerrie. Here are a couple of the shots. Comments appreciated. Lighting was the lights that were there and my canon 550 flash and a reflector. It was all I had with me so I tried to make it work.

#1 is nice and soft. #2 is blown out on the robe, but the face is properly exposed...which is probably the best you could do if you couldn't adjust the lighting much.

LOVE the blend of flash and ambient on #1. Well done! Feels natural and warm.. barely looks like flash was involved.

Thanks, It was something I havent spent much time working with. It seems I am either in a studio with all strobes or outside in natural light. Mixing a flash and ambient was something relatively new to me.

Looks like you did quite well with your lighting situation and the flash hasn't cast any shadows from your subject onto any of the surrounding areas.

Gorgeous images, Scott. (OK, maybe a little bit too much headroom on the first one, but that golden light sure makes up for any little nits in that regard!).

Ya done good, dude! Both of ya should feel pretty good about those two... so, show more!
