Here is a little something different to view. The prelimanry view is the original shot, the second view is the shot with a glow applied and the 3rd shot with classical soft focus added. You'll have to view the photo for at least 6-10 seconds to see the full effect (it then repeats):

What do you think of the effect?

Cheers,
rfs

While I think that it is cool you have devised a technical effect to allow multiple presentations within an image, I am not moved. The variations as they cycled were minimal. You were working with what I believe to be one of the premier models in this state and what I saw was blowouts. Her beauty, her sensuality are not best captured in my mind by blowing out areas of her flesh. You are the artist, what was captured and what was presented was as best I can tell what you wanted. But, as feedback it did not work for me, I expected more. So flame me and we will all move on.

I did tend to go a little overboard on blowing out the skin tones, but I was trying for a specific effect and may have let the effect take precedence over the photo quality.

Here is a short sequence that was shot about 1 minute before the shot previously posted:

where I've left the light closer to what it actually was. What do you think?

PS: I didn't understand the last part of your post. What did you mean by "flame me"? Why would I want to flame you for a legitimate critique of my effort? Isn't that why we post to get comments?

Cheers,
rfs

I very much like this set. I've considered doing something like this but it always seems to fall in concept when I enter the studio and I forget to shoot with the concept in mind.

My flame concept was because I had just been flamed on another site and I did not really critique the guy, I just commented. I guess I was still shell shocked. Have a good week.
