If this comes up twice, blame the new guy and accept my apologies.

A number of you have a small (80 pixel square) image up over your name on your posts. Where in the Sam Hill do you set that up? I saw a "My Picture" URL address box, which I assume is what I need to use, but isn't there a way to simply upload the file? I got the image into "My Portfolio" but if I am the best looking model in my portfolio my career will be over before it starts.

Thanks again for helping the newbie. If you're coming to RG's Chicago workshop I owe you a beer, and if not I'll just do my best to pay it forward.

Hi Bob,

Because I was in your shoes what seems like not long ago, I'll pass the info onto you . . . although it took me a little while before I correctly figured it out What you need to do now that you have the image loaded in your portfolio is first make sure it measures no more than 80 x 80 pixels in size, then click on the image so that it opens in a new window, then right click on the image and open the properties for the image, it should show you a "URL" for that image, that is the path or link that you need to copy and paste into the space on your personal info page where it ask you for it It actually sounds more complicated than it really is . . . good luck

Jorge my good man, thanks for the help. You made it so easy that even a bassackwards newbie like me made it work. If you get over this way I've got a cold one on ice for you!

Here's what I did...
1. Found a picture of myself, cropped and resized it to 80x80
2. Uploaded the picture to my home website (seperate from GG, I didn't want to waste a pic in my GG portfolio section)
3. Came back to GG, logged in, clicked the edit button on the "Personal information, email, password, etc.", and put the website address into the box that says "URL to your picture (80x80 max pixels, may be smaller) (.gif, .jpg, .png accepted)"
4. Clicked "Submit" and It should appear in the "My Home" section if it worked. If it didn't work, you may have incorrectly put in the URL (web address) for the picture.

Good Luck
