Here I am demonstrating the "Australian Down Under Autofocus Technique"
(For those that have followed my recent adventures with my 10D, hey, it works!</CENTER>
For us here in South Beach, the fat part of our fashion season is upon upon us. Our season runs roughly from the first of November to the end of March, but things can get really silly in January, February and March. Personally I have been busier than at any time since I came to Miami. As a result I haven't posted much, and as some have noted, neither has anyone else working in Miami. This is obviously a good thing, no complaints.
To answer those who have emailed asking about the girl from Wisconsin, Jesseca (who came down in December), she is doing fine. Jesse flew in on New Year's Eve, got a chance to see the fire works on Ocean Drive, and partied with some of her new agency friends at the Marlin Hotel (where strangely enough, the Elite Agency is located). I of course had a cup of hot chocolate, set the TiVo to record the ball dropping in Times Square, and dropped off to sleep around 10 PM. Or not. At my age, I forget.

Jesse settled in quickly, shot for a catalog on Tuesday and Wednesday, shot a test with a photographer in from Germany, and has been going to several castings every day. Her booker is excited, and several of the other models at the agency are not, so I'd say she's doing quite well. I hope to be able to be more specific about how she's doing in the near future, but she's only been working for three days now.
In short, the weather has been spectacular, the checks all cleared, and I'm getting fan mail from China. Oh, the Redskins are in the playoffs, and they eliminated Dallas in the process. Life is good.
