Okay, I guess I hit my 5000th post in 2006
I thought I'd take the time to thank everyone that has helped us here on GG.
We've read it all on GG. Learned alot from some really great folks. Heck I'll even admit some of what we recieved in critiques we didnt like, but we realized like it or not, it was great advice! sometimes the truth is hard to swallow, but if you're going to learn you have to take the bad with the good.
So my advice to anyone Modeling or behind the lens...dont forget your Rhino Skin when you post an image, you just may learn something!!!
I know we both did!!! So thanks to everyone that took the time to reach out and help us learn!!! we still have along way to go, but we are getting there!
Thanks GG!!

Our First Image On GG!

One of our most recent.

One thing that you might want to keep in mind with the crituques that you get here. They aren't all honest. Some of them come from beginners and then there are those 18 year old wanna be critics from who knows where that probably don't know much of what they are talking about except maybe what they do or don't like. I try to pay more attention to the critiques from those who are producing the excellent work and can back up what they say.

Got my brother to volunteer for what would be one of my first shots with a digital slr camera from 2004.
Shot with natural light.

Don,

I really spent a few minutes compairing the first picture from the last. It's really hard to understand how much improvement there has been without seeing them side by side. It's not the the first is bad, but the last is so good! Wearing the rhino suit and keeping your ears open have done you well. I hope to improve only half as much as you in 2006 as I plan on posting a lot more pictures.

Ahhhh But Brad that first image has so many things wrong with it I dare to count them all...When DeAnn woke up this morning and saw this post she made that Bitter Beer face like on the commericials, and said OH I KNOW YOU DIDNT!
then she looked at it again and said...Oh but I do have nice boobies!!

Oh what the heck..I'll count the flaws for you lol..First she looks P.O'd!
Second the 1980's hair, Third the lighting is so flat its horrible. Fourth I made her leg look much larger than it is. Fifth I cropped it in the middle of her forearm. Sixth the background is magenta instead of white. Seventh the way she is leaning on her arm makes the back of her arm pop out and look larger than it is. eight the color is unsaturated. Ninth there is no POP to the image(contrast) ...anyone want to add some??

I just gotta learn how to make a watermark like that. Very corporate

As far as DeAnn, I'm amazed you can get her into chains. Just keep her happy for she doesn't lock you up and through away the keys!

You've been a powerful example of what a difference that effort, humility, an open mind and love for the craft can make... Just think how good you'll be in 20 years!

I've learned some really valuable stuff from you, Thanks.
