I'm clearing my machines for the end of the year, and came across this series that Jodi and I shot in Las Vegas in July. Thought I'd give it a re-treat. Kinda echoes how I'm feeling this season.

Here's another.

Process:

Duplicate layer to Screen mode, 60%.

Auto levels, flatten.

.2 gaussian blur.

Desaturate.

Contrast up 8 (for grain effect), brightness up 2.

Quiet, melancholic feel. Quite nice, IMO.

Cheer up and do more of these. Or not, as you prefer, and do more of these. Good stuff.

Thanks for sharing.

I like the effect - reminds me of pushing TriX to 3200 ASA. I like this one, but I think I like the first image a touch better. No special reason - perhaps I just like seeing her face more clearly, or the entire legs/feet, ... - not really sure. Very close thing.

Thank you Mr. Ford - I might just do that. I like this series for its mood that I didn't "see" before.

Then I've succeeded in the presentation - thank you!

Here's one "untreated" just for the hell of it.

Very interesting pose. Of course the chair should be happy to have that lovely model perched upon it.

Thank you Charlie - we were just chatting and lounging around first thing in the morning, and I kept clicking when I thought I saw something.

That chair I'm sure has never been the same again.
