The red outfit is very cute, and so is the model. Looks like you are using studio lighting ? I recall your past pics have been natural lighting. Overall, excellent shot.

Marty,

Another great shot! May I ask your lighting set up and focal lenght? Were you using your D-70 with a DX lens or a standard lens?

Marty,

Sounds very cool. I've got a D2X (very cool) and have the 80-200 2.8 as well. It's only a shame the Nikon sensor is smaller than the old 35mm format as I was shooting with my 80-200 and my F5 the other day and was able to create a more shallow depth of field.

Also, I might be doing some work with AJ in the future. Would it be o.k. to contact you via phone sometime just to make sure I'm on the right track?

Marty,

One more question. May I ask what type / power of strobe? I just bought a Photogenic 500 WS strobe with a 48 x 36 soft box and love the results! I'm thinking this is the size needed to get those full body shots like you have taken.

The strobe was a white lightning zap 1000, it's 500 watts....the softbox was a 2x2ft. I had a larger one there and should have used it.

Marty,

Thanks so much! If you every get the chance, try the D2X. You can open up RAW files in PS2 and print them out at any size you can dream. The resolution is like glass at 100 ISO. Unfortunately for my bank account, once I got the camera, I had to upgrade my lights and printer as it defiantly moves your standards up a notch.

Keep in mind the PMA show in Orlando this spring. Both Nikon and Canon will have their full line for display and practice. This year they are even having a full day camera shoot out to really try the new gear.
