I received the following email message recently. Just wondering if others have heard from this "model". The name has been deleted, but email me if you're curious.

It looks to be a variation on the Nigerian letters that have flooded the net for a long time, with a particular twist of targeting a specific interest group.

Would I send her money... Don't think so!
At least not until the check was received, cashed, and cleared by the bank. But that's just my opinion.

I've seen this one before. It is posted as an example to the Nigerian Scam site as it is a similar type of scam.

Now is it possible that I can interest you in some of the swamp land I have down in Florida or a certain Bridge in Brooklyn that I need to unload?

Cheers,
rfs

the reason old scams continue--with a new twist or not--is that, apparently, there are enough marks and dumb****tz out there for them to continue to be lucrative.

Unfortunately my grandmother did fall for a similar scam over the phone, she was vulnerable and semi wealthy and fortunately she wasn't taken for too much, certainley not more than she could afford.

So I'll see your "ants in their supper" and raise you "Ants in their underwear"
