Yay me! All that begging is helping (a little).

If all goes well, I will have a shoot with one of my favorite models on Sunday. She's bringing over "a bunch" of skimpy things she's ordered lately, including a quite sexy crushed red velvet Christmas outfit.

Of course, I want to do a Christmas-themed shoot with her, and I need some ideas for creating or mimicing fake a snow drift in the studio.

Anyone? Anyone?

Bueller? Bueller?

while those are both fine ideas if I wanted to simulate snow falling, I need to have a snowdrift, and it would take a ****e load of potato flakes or soap powder to make a drift -- not to mention the huge mess it would make.

For a snowdrift you could go to the fabric store and purchase several yards of white satin material, drape it over a bean bag chair or two, sprinkle some flakes of either soap or potato flakes and viola!

Personally I hate snow unless I'm skiing or in a hot tub with a beautiful, um well I digress.

How about a few cushions with the same type of material they use for christmas tree skirts. It's soft and fluffy, similar to snow.
Just a thought.

Ed:

Do you have a crosscut shredder and white plastic trash bags? A fabric store should have the material that lobofw was talking about for your background and flooring but the shredded white plastic can simulate your falling snowflakes. How you can make them fall without violating twelve different OSHA rules is another story.
