I had a thought one evening looking at all the images posted on GG. It got me to thinking about how important post work styles are to an image. In my curiosity I sent this image to JimmyD and asked him to photoshop it HIS style. the top image is photoshopped by Jimmy and the bottom one by Me.
Now a couple of questions, are you happy with your photoshop ablilities? or your style? How important is having good photoshop skills? Finally would you like to have more photoshop knowledge??? Maybe could have a "Photoshop This" contest of sorts, just to see others styles. and learn from others.

Post work by JimmyD

I know I have a great deal to learn about PS. I'm useing the Total Traing CDs to learn the basics, and then just experimenting to find my style.

Neither image is better, just different. I tend to go more for your image than JimmyD's, but that's just personal preference.

Hi Don,..we have the post production forum already, but I don't see many posts in there lately.

I continually learn more in PS, just trying different things,..I'll prolly never learn it all, but it's fun trying.

Jimmys photo looks a little sharper and darker on my screen, plus he cropped a little,..don't know which one I prefer,...my preference might lean a little towards yours.

Keep coming up with interesting ideas, I for one enjoy them

Don

We have a forum for that - it's called the Post Production Forum! We suspend the rules on posting other people's images - as long as it was an image posted on the Post Production Forum.

I realize there is a post production forum. My suggestion was to the forum members about a possible PHOTOSHOP THIS type of entry in the forum.....

disregard.
