Not sure how you guys/gals do this in upstate NY, I'm on my way back to San Antonio after a quick-notice trip up to Buffalo, I was up here working on my book with my publisher, and it's frickin freezing. (brrrrr) We've already started book two and three is it's early planning stages.
I'm glad FotoFusion
in Florida will be warmer in January as I'll be there too.
Anyway, the book is looking great, many thanks to those that submitted images, we're using quite a few from those GG photographers that contributed...if for some reason your's didn't get used, it's cause we ran out of room--we're talking about 140 images and about 35 were contributed from folks here. The hard part was the writing, unedited it was slighlty over 30,000 words. Everyone knows I'm a person short of words (grin)
The next step is a mock-up of the design then a press proof...then comes the wait, it'll hit the doorsteps in early 2006. I'll keep you posted. The cover is Holley Dorrough, can't wait to see the final proof on that one. Congrats Holley!
On another note, if you open up your Nov. 2005 issue of Studio Photography & Design
you'll see I'm now in the masthead (the area where it lists the magazine staff) as their newest contributing writer. My next article for the magazine is Jan. 2006, followed by February and the PMA wrapup in April, more to come on that.
Well have to run, we'll be boarding in a few and flying to Newark first then back down to Texas...thanks, rg sends!
